Signal cables play a particularly important role in the audio system, because the most delicate signals flow through them, which are then amplified. So every loss is also multiplied. Himalaya II keeps these losses to an absolute minimum.
In all interconnects from the Himalaya II series, the best possible conductors made of pure monocrystalline silver obtained in the OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) process were used. This is a 6% gain compared to OCC copper, which has a such lower conductivity and about the same more in relation to conductors made of silver, but within the traditional technology. The dielectric of these conductors is air, the best known insulator to be used in practice, but it poses the highest challenges. In order to be able to use it in our cable, the conductors are placed in Teflon sheaths, but thanks to their specific cross-section and span structure, they are in contact with them only in a few percent, thanks to which the losses resulting from contact with the insulator are completely negligible. At the same time, the rigidity of the sheaths provides an excellent mechanical barrier, protecting against vibrations caused by the current flowing through the conductor. Going further, the cables are shielded in several ways, including broadband shielding, depending on the intended use. Then another shield is created by lagging with a multi-layer structure, whose task is to finally extinguish all vibrations. WBT Nextgen Signature (RCA) and Neutrik WT (XLR) plugs complete the list of sophisticated components to ensure that the signal does not degrade or color.
